Sometimes we do it for the knowledge, other times for entertainment. But remember to always give some to those in need.
2014 has been both merciful and patient to me, it was a year filled with anger, disappointment and challenges.
I learn that with faith and determination, you will bear a fruitful outcome if you believe what you pray for. God has put me in situations that I have never encounter so that I grow out of it. In this world, there's no "I can't" as long as effort are put in to the right places.
With His blessings, I realized I have grown to be more patient and understanding to those in need while standing firm against those who is "all of this world".
To be able to speak in front of an audience was one of my achievements. There's more in me and knowing that challenges help me grow, I have to muster up more courage to compensate for it. In these few years, I appreciate the friendship that was made along the way, in helping me understand the variety of personalities and habits that would eventually indirectly help me to build a simple, ethical and morally right person.
I think courage is as important as determination. To boldly make that as a statement, I would say it has to do with Skiing. I have a typical singaporean attitude, to make sure that I pick up skiing asap, I was constantly going down the same slope a few times a day. Making an excuse of trying to perfect my basic, but sadly, I was dead wrong. However, I was challenge to make my way back to some other trails myself due to some undesirable & understandable circumstances, I collected all the pebbles courage & bravery within me and headed down. It was then that I really understood the basics of skiing.
I am a big believer of "taking up responsibilities even when you know none". Personally, that is my way of challenging myself to learn.
I am a big believer in work-out routines and healthy diet. Never let anyone talk you down, for me I don't think of how my abs or muscles are going to 'do' anything for me but simply I want to be an actual average healthy person. Just because in the later part of our life, we might not have the time or energy to maintain our physical body, at least we know we tried.
I am a big believer in opportunities, everyone deserve a chance to either redeem/prove themselves in different situations. The more you have, the more honest giving one should be.
I am now a big believer of humility. Humbleness is not an acting, it's within you. To those I have seen, (not including those I have heard or know) the last man standing are those who have a humble beginnings with a cravings for wisdom from God.
To 2015, please be (once again) merciful on my spring semester.
To family members, appreciate all the patience, knowledge, care given to me.
To parents, I hope what I am today is what you guys imagine with all those upbringings.
